The IO-Link master device requires a power supply from an electrical distribution panel fed through a cable with the proper terminations for connection<link to next article on connecting cables> to the power input port (X03) on the face of the IOLM.
Current requirements are approximately 0.5 A per sensor and there are 8 possible sensor ports on the largest devices resulting in a current requirement of 4.0 A for the sensors, if fully loaded. The IOLM draws approximately 0.3 A for internal needs, this results in a supply current capacity of 4.3 A maximum and less if the sensor ports are not all in use.
